Akhuwat, Allhamdulillah is the world’s largest Interest-free Islamic Microfinance Program working on the mission of alleviating poverty in Pakistan. It provides interest-free micro loans to Pakistani community living below the poverty line. Akhuwat has disbursed 137 billion loans among 4.7 million underprivileged families. Moreover, Akhuwat has a thriving network of interns who have devoted their time, talent and resources for their shared mission of a poverty-free world. Acting as young leaders, Akhuwat’s interns use this platform to gain a better understanding of the issues Pakistan’s faces and how they can contribute towards the resolution of these problems.
This Summer, Akhuwat is offering a Virtual Internship Program that shall give your students a much-needed confidence, provide a supportive environment conducive for the development of multicultural competence and sensitivity to individual differences, as well as to provide experiential learning opportunities to integrate developing knowledge based on working with diverse populations. Thus, it’s a remarkable initiative for the collective good.

Selection Criteria
Interns at Akhuwat range from students in their O/A Levels or Bachelors/ Masters who are seeking to learn about Akhuwat’s philosophy and gain insight on a specific project under Akhuwat’s Umbrella. Moreover, the students can add value to their resume, enhance creativity and learning skills.
