Background

Association for Gender Awareness and Human Empowerment (AGAHE) is Non-Government Social & Development Organization established in 2007, registered under the Societies Act, 1860 in Punjab with the vision ‘To create an enabling environment for vulnerable segments of society where they can utilize their full potential for improvement in their lives and have equal opportunities to safeguard their rights’. Thematic areas of AGAHE include Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Health & Nutrition, Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience and Governance. AGAHE is actively working in various parts of Punjab and ICT including Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujarat, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Pakpattan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Multan, Muzaffargarh, DG Khan and Rajanpur districts.

 

Job title: IT officer

Nature of position: Regular

Grade: Non-Managerial

Location: Head Office (Lahore)

Job Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Coordination with clients and computer users to determine the nature of problems.
  • To ensure cybersecurity, security of all organizational data on web i.e., emails, website, portals, Information Systems, etc. (Important)
  • Management of AGAHE website, addition/deletion of content and modification of layouts/themes on AGAHE website. (Important)
  • Administration / Management of Microsoft Office Suite 365, creation/deletion of emails, troubleshooting in case of any issue related to Microsoft Office Suite. (Important)
  • Immediate respond to critical situation, especially breakdowns.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and solve laptop/computer software and hardware issues.
  • Obtain replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
  • Continuous monitoring of hardware for electrical safety.
  • Provides technical leadership on all IT-related activities and also manage efficiently.
  • Review vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software, and services) to ensure effective implementation.
  • Suggest innovative ideas to supervisor to enhance security, productivity, and digitization of work.

 

 

 

 

Qualification & Experience

  • BS (4 years) in Computer Science (CS) OR BS IT from HEC recognized University.
  • Prior 3-4 years’ experience in a similar capacity.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Prior knowledge of installation and management of simple to complex software including but not limited to MS Office 365, InPage, Graphic Designing, Outlook Configuration, Drivers, etc.
  • Substantial knowledge of designing, creating and management of websites.

·       Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.

·       Ability to develop requests and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.

  • Ability to provide guidance and counsel to clientele in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.
