Akhuwat, Allhamdulillah is the world’s largest Interest-free Islamic Microfinance Program working on the mission of alleviating poverty in Pakistan. It provides interest-free micro loans to Pakistani community living below the poverty line. Akhuwat has disbursed 168 billion loans among 5.3 million underprivileged families. Moreover, The Akhuwat Internship Program seeks to build and cultivate a community of changemakers, committed volunteerism and necessary compensation of philanthropic services. Our volunteers hail from all walks of life, bringing their diversified perceptive to Akhuwat and serving as agents of change. Through virtual trainings and sessions, the Internship program will equip them with the courage to think differently, the passion to translate their ideas into action and the values to make a meaningful impact.
This Summer, Akhuwat is offering a Virtual Internship Program that shall give your students a much-needed confidence, provide a supportive environment conducive for the development of multicultural competence and sensitivity to individual differences, as well as to provide experiential learning opportunities to integrate developing knowledge based on working with diverse population.
