For almost 60 years, the Investment Centre of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has been helping countries make more and better investments in food and agriculture to reduce poverty, hunger and malnutrition and protect the environment.The Investment Centre counts around 180 professionals with expertise in key areas like agronomy, irrigation, agribusiness, sociology, finance and economics. Annually the Investment Centre supports more than USD 8 billion in investment in agrifood systems, including both support to public and private investment. The Investment Centre partners with governments, international financial institutions, the private sector, academia and others to provide agrifood investment and finance solutions.We have recently conducted a review of academic institutions and courses that can offer a suitable pool for recruiting expertise and new talent.
