Job Title: PCB Library Engineer (Mechanical)
Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide support to the CAD (Mech) team in activities of BOM dress up, footprint development, board loading, mechanical implementation, to get board ready for DFM and Gerber’s.
Nature of Duties: Nature of this job includes Footprint / Library Development of SMT & PTH components according to Company and Customer library standards, Board Form Factor / Cut-outs and height constraints implementation and Back Drilling. Run Design checklists, prepare technical reports and documentation for customer’s review.
PCB Library Engineer (Mech) directly reports to the CAD (Mech) Team Lead.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Footprint / Library Development as per company/customer standards
· Update/verification of BOM (Bill Of Material)
· Netlist (Logic) import for board load
· Implementation of MOC (Mechanical Outline Control)
· Back Drilling (BD) definition
· Run PCB Mech Design related checklists
· DFM/DFA reports implementation
· Technical reporting & communication
Education and Experience:
• B-Tech/BS Tech (Mechanical)
• Must be proficient with any PCB Layout Design Tool
• Will be an added advantage if the candidate is well-versed with AutoCAD and SolidWorks etc.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-disciplinary environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in English language is preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point) and any other software tools
• 1-2 years’ experience required in the relevant field
