Job Description:
  1. Manage and coordinate the effort of a team of 2 to 4 buyers. Provide guidance and support to strategic buyers on ongoing basis.
  2. Oversee multiple spend categories ranging from PKR 500Million – PKR3000Million. Ensure the development, management and prioritization of procurement activities across these spend categories to effectively achieve the targets agreed with the corresponding areas.
  3. Drive the implementation of the best procurement practices and ensure continuous compliance with procurement process guidelines.
  4. Manage stakeholders’ relationships and ensure procurement strategies are aligned with business objectives.
  5. Advise/consult with marketing/R&D/Production, based on market and process insight and know-how (e.g. price development, material/service innovations, processes, etc.)
  6. Provide insights to team and stakeholders on the evolution of the market (commodities, supplier base, etc.)
  7. Act as a facilitator for major projects that require the facilitation of cross functional teams and alignment and sponsorship from senior management.
Eligibility Criteria:
• 6-8 years of work experience
• MBA/BBA in Supply Chain Management
• Proven track record of delivering competitive advantage to the business through procurement over a sustained period (5+ years).
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects.
• Expertise in professional spend category management, contributing to competitive business advantage.
• Successful negotiation experience in cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in training buyers to achieve business results.
• Effective talent management and succession planning experience.
